Syrup gels — often called jelly gels — are sheer, translucent color gels designed to be built up in thin layers. They create a soft, glossy “tinted glass” look that can range from barely-there to richly layered. This style is especially popular in Korean-style nail art, where layering syrup shades is used to create clean gradients, delicate depth, and a natural, modern finish.

Instructions

Apply syrup gel in thin, even layers and cure after each coat. Build the intensity gradually rather than applying thick layers. Cure fully in a compatible UV/LED lamp (typical curing wavelengths are around 365–405 nm). Finish with top gel and cure again. Tip: For the cleanest “syrup” look, keep layers thin and smooth, and use a clear or milky base underneath if you want a softer, more diffused finish.
